Our Story
K L Property Lawyers was started in 2004, by Kathryn & Lynne, having spent time working together at a local conveyancers. They believed they could approach Conveyancing a little differently, bringing it up to date and also provide a more friendly & efficient service. The company has grown steadily over time and now employs 6 members of staff, which includes 2 qualified Licensed Conveyancers.

Director & Licensed Conveyancer
Kathryn Heathfield is a seasoned conveyancer with a sole focus on residential conveyancing. Her expertise and in-depth knowledge of property law make her the ideal partner in navigating the complexities of property transactions. With a passion for delivering exceptional service, Kathryn is dedicated to ensuring that every client receives the highest level of legal support and guidance.

" I have worked in Conveyancing since 1994 and qualified as a Licensed Conveyancer in the year 2000. Having worked in both Solicitor and Licensed Conveyancer practices I decided to take on the challenge of setting up our own Company in 2004, along with my co-director, Lynne."

With a focus on providing comprehensive legal solutions, Lynne is dedicated to ensuring that each client's needs are met with the utmost professionalism and expertise.

When I am not working, I enjoy my time with my family and 4 gorgeous grandchildren. I love holidays with them and they bring me great joy. I also enjoy touring on our motorbike.
I now have a little dog who is a big part of our family and she brings much happiness to our lives and we now find ourselves on lots of walks and trips with her too."
Christine Taylor
Licensed Conveyancer
With over 26 years of experience in the legal property sector, I qualified as a Licensed Conveyancer in 2021, specialising in freehold and leasehold sales and purchases. Throughout my career, I have successfully handled a wide variety of property matters, from routine conveyances to more complex transactions, ensuring I can anticipate, address and advise on any challenges effectively.
When not working, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends and making the most of all the fun to be had in our local area!
Karla Walder
Conveyancing Assistant
I started working in a solicitors in Maidstone as a junior in 1989 after completing a secretarial course at school. I became a Junior Secretary for a Conveyancer and have stayed in conveyancing ever since working at various locations gaining knowledge and experience along the way, I have been at K L Property Lawyers since 2012 as a Conveyancing Assistant.

Outside of work I am married with two teenage boys, a cat and a dog which all keep me busy. I enjoy cake decorating, being out in the countryside walking my dog and also camping.

Kirsty Taylor
Conveyancing Assistant
I started working on conveyancing after leaving school in 1997 taking a position of Office Junior at a firm of conveyancers in Maidstone, where I progressed to the position of Legal Secretary. In 2007, I joined the K L Property Team taking on the role as Conveyancing Assistant.
Outside of work, I am married and have two children that keep me busy. When not working I enjoy spending time with family and friends.
Mark Heathfield
Finance Manager
I have worked for K L Property Lawyers since they opened in 2004, as Finance Manager, responsible for the day to day finances of the business and managing both the company accounts and client ledgers. Previously, I have worked for both a large PLC as an Auditor and also in local government in an administrative and financial role.
